Distressed Tables
I like this idea of finding an old cabinet with clear glass doors and painting the back walls of it a different contrasting color. This could be used for either the sign in table and the programs could be placed on the shelves with the doors remaining open. It could also be used behind the bar as a display for the different types of bottles of alcohol.
The next two are great distressed sign in tables or escort card tables. They could also be used as neither but serve as an interesting visual with some flowers on top and drawers overflowing with greenery.

Wedding Dress
I'm going to start looking through the heap of bridal magazines I have (bought 3 more yesterday!) and pull some examples of what I like for my next appointment.
We got our DJ!!!

Yams hasn't heard of him and originally had his reservations about an all 80's wedding reception. We called him yesterday afternoon and spoke to him for about half an hour. Yams wanted to make sure he could cover Old School 90's Hip Hop. He went over his music library and assured us he could play basically anything. Also, his great MCing skills and experience would get our guests on the dance floor. Richard Blade also gave us the number to the groom from the wedding he had DJed the night before. Eric and his wife, Jessica, were also in the same situation MrLovebird and I were in, in that I listened to KROQ growing up and he listened to hip hop. We called Eric and he gave Richard Blade glowing remarks, and I mean glowing! He told us we had to get Richard Blade and if we did, we could basically sit back and relax knowing we wouldn't have to worry about our guests having a good time.
We emailed Richard Blade less than an hour after speaking with him and booked him!!
